London Sightseeing by Helicopter

Please Note: Due to the London Olympics 2012, no helicopter operators are permitted to fly sightseeing trips in London from July 14th to September 12th 2012.
Departing from our base at Redhill Aerodrome you will climb to more than one thousand feet as you race towards London City Centre.

You flight will take you past Surrey towns including Reigate, Buckland and Surbiton, Epsom racecourse is usually visible on the route.

On passing Banstead you will enter the London Heli Route system and follow lanes in the sky which the pilots know as H7 and H4, if you listen carefully when the pilot speaks to ATC you will hear these being requested.

On reaching the Thames your flight will continue along the river taking in such spectacles as

After leaving the river you will pass between Crystal palace and Bromley and see Biggin Hill Airport on your left hand side with Croydon out to the right. You will now be heading back towards Redhill over the Surrey Hills and may see Kenley Gliding site, with Godstone to the South.

This is our typical route during the summer months, we occasionally need to vary the route and travel in the opposite direction for operational reasons, normally due to the prevailing wind.
